Carlo Rosa


He is Chief Executive Officer of the DiaSorin group. Born in 1966, he graduated summa cum laude in Chemistry at the University of Turin. In 1990, he moved to New York to work for the Health Research Institute on a project developing a new innovative product for the diagnosis of hepatitis C infections. In 1992 he joined the listed American INCSTAR Corporation (Minnesota, USA), where he worked in the Research and Development Department, leading a joint venture project with Akzo Nobel. He subsequently served in other roles, in both the research and strategic marketing sectors, concluding as Director of the Infectious Diseases Business Unit. In 1998 he returned to Italy to take up the post of European Director of Strategy and Marketing for DiaSorin S.p.A. In 2000 he led a management buy-out with other managers and group of financial investors to purchase DiaSorin from the previous owner, American Standard Inc. Following the operation, he took up the post of Chief Operating Officer until 2006, when he became CEO of the group, an office he still holds. In 2016 he was elected Vice-Chairman of Assobiotec and became a member of the board of the Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia.
