Luigi Mittone


Luigi Mittone is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Trento. He is Director of the Cognitive and Experimental Economics Laboratory and Coordinator of the Economics and Management doctorate course. He has a degree in Economic and Social Science from Bocconi University in Milan, a master’s degree in Social Science from the University of Birmingham in the UK, and a doctorate in Economics from the University of Bristol, UK. His main research interests and publications are in the field of experimental and behavioural economics, tax evasion theory, consumer behaviour, cognitive models and uncertain events, intertemporal decision-making, cooperation between agents, computational economics, dynamic analysis of tax systems with heterogenous agents, and public and health economics. He is the author of over 100 academic articles and books in academic journals and has been classified by RePEc among the leading 7% of economists globally.
